Individual tours are scheduled year round and we can work with your schedule so that the visit fits into your busy life.
When you visit the Vet Tech Institute of Houston and take a tour of our facilities, you will meet with an admissions representative who will want to get to know you and help you understand both our veterinary technology program and what a career as a vet tech might look like. If you decide VTI is right for you, your admissions representative will be there to help throughout the admissions and enrollment process.

To be considered for admission to Vet Tech Institute of Houston, an applicant must have graduated from or be a potential graduate from a valid high school, private school, or equivalent (GED) and have reached a minimum age of 17. When an applicant has not yet graduated, offers of admission are contingent on high school graduation. Applicants are admitted for enrollment on the basis of previous scholastic records as evidenced by a transcript of work completed in high school or college and on the basis of achieving a score equivalent to at least 21 on the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam.
During the review of previous scholastic records, evaluators typically review categories such as high school GPA, class rank, math and science GPA, and GED scores. Past animal care and/or husbandry experience may also be considered. Interested candidates and applicants may also be asked to complete a personal interview. Applicants for the Veterinary Technology program must demonstrate an aptitude for, and interest in, a career in veterinary technology.
